Are you ready to live? Really live that feeling good life you desire to live? Thank you for joining me on this episode of the
Feeling Good Podcast, it’s great to be alive. On this feel good day I have a special guest, my beautiful daughter Claire. Today Claire will be sharing her health transformation story with us and how she is working to overcome her health challenges. I will then share some ideas with our listeners on how you can also make changes for the better in 2018.

Key Takeaways from This Podcast:

[1:12] Go to carsonnatural.com/resources for a variety of free resources to help you live a healthier life.

[2:21] Do you want to see transformation in your life in 2018? Dr. Phil will be sharing his latest webinar “The Secrets to Turning Your Body Into a Fat-Burning Machine in 2018,” soon. You can pre-register and save your spot for the webinar at carsonnatural.com/pretransform.

[4:17] Dr. Phil has a special guest today, his daughter, Claire, who has struggled with her health recently and today she will share how she has made some changes and transformed her health.

[6:24] Claire describes how she had let herself go and wasn’t taking care of her body as she should have. She decided to make some changes including exercising and a detox.

[8:10] With the passing of her grandmother, Claire set some of the good habits aside, but then picked it back up recently.

[8:46] Claire realized the transformation she had experienced when she looked at an older photo of herself when she was carrying extra weight.

[10:34] Dr. Phil was aware Claire was headed down the wrong path and was worried about her. He felt she was probably in a pre-diabetic state, but she has made great progress.

[12:51] Dr. Phil emphasizes the importance of his ‘Seven Keys to Living Happy and Whole’ from his book: water, exercise, sleep, supplements, and transforming the soul and the spirit.

[13:08] Claire describes how she is implementing Dr. Phil’s key ideas into her life.

[16:06] This health transformation helps create an emotional and spiritual change as well.

[17:13] Claire emphasizes the focus on overall health, not just weight loss.

[19:55] Dr. Phil says, “If you’ve failed, pick back up and start again. Don’t let life’s circumstances keep you down.”

[20:38] If you want to learn how you can experience some of the same life transformation that Claire experienced, register now for our upcoming transformation webinar at carsonnatural.com/pretransform.

Episode 100: What Can I Take For The Flu?

January 17, 2018 by Phil Carson Leave a Comment

Are you ready to live? Really live that feeling good life you desire to live? Thank you for joining me on this episode of the Feeling Good Podcast, it’s great to be alive. On this feel good day Dr. Phil will share tried-and-true natural flu remedies that have worked well for him over the years, as well as three ways to prevent the flu.

Key Takeaways from This Podcast:

[1:05] Go to carsonnatural.com/resources for a variety of free resources to help you live a healthier life.

[1:26] Over the years, Dr. Phil has learned some beneficial natural flu remedies and will share those on the podcast today.

[2:10] If you missed the webinar on “The Secrets to Turning Your Body Into a Fat-Burning Machine in 2018,” keep listening each week to learn when the webinar will be available again.

[2:48] This is one of the worst flu seasons we’ve had in a long time. What can you do about the flu once you have it?

[4:23] One of Dr. Phil’s favorite products is called Sambucol, or Elderberry.

[5:44] Several studies have proven that the Sambucol helped people to recover in two to three days versus six days without it.

[7:31] Sambucol has also been proven to help activite and boost the immunity in the body to fight off disease.

[8:09] Dr. Phil’s favorite product to help treat the flu is called Oscillococcinum, also known as Oscillo.

[9:00] Oscillo is best taken at the first sign of symptoms for faster, better relief. It does not work as a preventive, however.

[10:58] One of the best ways to prevent the flu is to maintain a strong, healthy immune system; eat well, avoid sugar, take probiotics, etc.

[11:39] Wash your hands well.

[11:51] Avoid places where there may be outbreaks of the flu.

[12:40] Natural Creations has a product called Influenzinum which can be a preventive for the flu if you can’t, (or don’t want to), get the flu vaccine.

[14:49] Please check out the free resources at carsonnatural.com/resources and check out Carson Natural Health on Facebook, and join Dr. Phil every Friday, during the noonday hour, Central Time, for his weekly Facebook Live broadcast called Feeling Good Fridays—broadcast from a different location every week.

Episode 97: Why Not Make 2018 Your Dirtiest Year Ever?

January 3, 2018 by Phil Carson Leave a Comment

Are you ready to live? Really live that feeling good life you desire to live? Thank you for joining me on this episode of the Feeling Good Podcast, it’s great to be alive. On this feel good day we’ll talk about why our culture has become too sanitary and share three great tips to help you in your fight against colds, flu, and viruses that show up this time of year.

Key Takeaways from This Podcast:

[:56] Go to carsonnatural.com/resources for a variety of free resources to help you live a healthier life.

[1:31] Dr. Phil is optimistic about 2018 and is looking forward to good things ahead.

[3:11] Why would someone put bacteria in skin care products?

[3:33] Dr. Phil suggests that we have become too sanitary for our own good. Natural bacteria are vital for our immune system.

[4:57] What are soil-based organisms and why do they matter?

[6:09] We’re in contact with a lot of people during the holidays and as a result, in contact with the bad bugs more frequently. Probiotics can help keep our immune system strong.

[6:38] Dr. Phil shares three tips to help keep our immune system healthy.

[7:02] Take a probiotic on a regular basis or eat probiotic foods so you can have good bacteria to fight the bad.

[7:47] Take immune system boosters that support the thymus gland, which is the master gland of the immune system. Thymuplex is one Dr. Phil often recommends.

[9:23] Zinc is vital for a healthy and strong immune system. Zinc can help you fight bacteria and viruses.

[11:34] This episode’s Feeling Good Superhero is Ina Carson, Dr. Phil’s mom. Dr. Phil wants to feature her today because she was the one who encouraged him to get outside and play in the dirt and didn’t get mad when he got dirty. Dr. Phil and his family weren’t made to be too sanitary and he’s thankful for that because he knows those soil-based organisms helped him to build a healthy immune system. He still doesn’t mind getting dirty and likes being outdoors. Dr. Phil is thankful to his mom for this.

[13:26] The greatest joys in life come not from you being lifted by others, but rather by others being lifted by you.

[13:50] Please check out the free resources at carsonnatural.com/resources and check out Carson Natural Health on Facebook, and join Dr. Phil every Friday, during the noonday hour, Central Time, for his weekly Facebook Live broadcast called Feeling Good Fridays—broadcast from a different location every week.

I remember testing positive for herpes type 1. I felt crushed. My genitals were itchy, and it was painful to pee because of the sores and all those scabs. It was like a nightmare. That was the first outbreak of genital herpes in my entire life. That time Valtrex saved me from https://www.paolivet.com/valtrex-online/ suffering long days. It soothed the symptoms quite fast and got me back to the norm.

Episode 94: How Can I Avoid the Holiday Humps, Lumps, and Bumps?

December 11, 2017 by Phil Carson Leave a Comment

Are you ready to live? Really live that feeling good life you desire to live? Thank you for joining me on this episode of the Feeling Good Podcast, it’s great to be alive. On this feel good day we will discuss two specific strategies you can use to avoid getting the holiday humps, lumps, and bumps that often come this time of year.

Key Takeaways from This Podcast:

[1:08] Go to carsonnatural.com/resources for a variety of free resources to help you live a healthier life.

[1:31] This time of year tempts us to eat a lot of things we don’t normally eat. Due to the excessive eating and overabundance of sugar, people tend to gain weight.

[3:10] Dr. Phil is going to share two of his seven tips today to help you avoid the holiday humps, lumps and bumps.

[3:39] Dr. Phil’s first tip for avoiding the holiday slumps is to cut out the bread; especially bread made with white flour.

[4:42] Reduce the portion sizes of other starchy carbs such as potatoes, mac and cheese, pasta, etc. If you want to enjoy some of those, eat smaller amounts.

[5:29] You should be able to enjoy a small serving of your favorite dessert if you’ve cut out the bread.

[7:00] Cut out sweet and sugary drinks and you can enjoy your small portion of dessert even more guilt-free.

[7:58] If you’re making your own desserts and treats try to use sugar substitutes such as stevia or honey.

[8:43] Get the rest of Dr. Phil’s keys to avoiding holiday weight gain, plus more, at carsonnatural.com/product/holidayhumps/. You can purchase the Seven Keys to Avoiding Holiday Humps, Bumps, and Lumps mini course, plus get free bonus content to help you survive the holidays and to get ready for your New Year’s resolutions.

[9:57] This episode’s Feeling Good Superhero is John. John recently told Dr. Phil that he cut the bread from his diet as Dr. Phil had suggested. John says he has so much more energy and it has made a tremendous difference. A lot of people that eliminate processed bread and cut the bread out of their daily diet have better blood sugar levels and control over their weight. A lot of people feel like they can’t give up bread. You don’t have to have bread with your meal. Eliminate the bread, or drastically reduce how much you eat of it, and you will do better at maintaining weight and controlling your blood sugar just like John.

[12:33] The greatest joys in life come not from you being lifted by others, but rather by others being lifted by you.

Prediabetes, Could It Be You?

November 10, 2017 by Phil Carson Leave a Comment

According to the centers for disease control, one out of three people in the United States have prediabetes, and nine out of 10 Prediabetics DON’T KNOW they are!

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month, and I want you to to be aware of this problem that nine out of 10 people do not even know they have. Maybe you have never even heard of the term prediabetes. So what is it? Having Prediabetes means that your blood sugar is higher than normal but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. If you have Prediabetes, then you may be at risk for type II diabetes. The CDC has developed a simple test to score yourself and see if you are possibly Prediabetic.  If your score indicates that you are Prediabetic, then I recommend that you make an appointment with your health care provider as soon as possible.

Type II Diabetes is known as a lifestyle disease and it can be prevented. Statistics show that 15-30% of people with Prediabetes will develop Type II Diabetes within five years. You can prevent and/or reverse your Prediabetic condition, and possibly prevent the onset of Type II Diabetes by incorporating these three simple habits into your daily routine.

  1. The number one thing you must do is learn to eat a more healthy and balanced diet, a diet that includes a good lean protein and fruits and vegetables. In addition, you must drink more pure water and less sugary drinks, such as sodas.
  2. The second habit you need to add to your routine is being more active by incorporating daily exercise. You don’t have to join a crossfit gym, but you do have to get up and be intentional about being active every day. If you haven’t been active in years, just walking 30 minutes a day would make a huge difference in your body.
  3. The third recommendation is to lose those extra pounds you’ve been carrying around. Of course if you do follow my first two recommendations that should happen naturally. If you are diligent, it will be quick at first, which will feel great! It will slowly taper off though, so don’t be discouraged. Just get the ball rolling and it will pick up speed!

Take this risk seriously! The Diabetes epidemic is at an all time high in the United States and in the world today. I encourage you to do your part, start living a healthier lifestyle, and help put a stop to this epidemic! If you’re not sure how to get started with these recommendations and don’t believe you have the will power to do it on your own, don’t be discouraged.  You’re not alone, many others, just like you, feel the same way.

Check out my latest episode on The Feeling Good Podcast, “90: Help! We Have an Epidemic – What Can We Do to Stop It?” where I talk about prevention, reversal and management of diabetes.

October 20, 2017 by Phil Carson Leave a Comment

It’s time for us to stop living in fear and start fighting the fear of cancer. There are many ways to fight this fear through exercise, nutrition and more. Don’t live in fear! I can help YOU! I offer a FREE non-committal fifteen minute session to any prospective client to determine if there is a good fit for working together, so there’s no reason to suffer from the fear of cancer or any other diseases without seeking help.

Schedule a call with me today for a health consultation and find the right coaching package to get you feeling good again! You can choose to have your session in person, over the phone or with video conference software.

If you are dealing with cancer or someone you know is dealing with cancer, listen and share my two most recent podcasts, #86, “What Can I Do to Keep from Getting So Sick As I Go Through Chemo,” where I talk about the benefits of nutritional therapy and exercise while undergoing cancer treatments and #87, I Have Cancer, Should I Exercise?, where we I talk about what factors to consider and the many benefits of regular exercise. The information in these podcasts can be life changing and make a tremendous difference in how you respond to the cancer itself, as well as the treatment you are going through. The benefits of nutritional therapy during cancer treatments are that it supports immune system function, preserves the lean body mass, helps to rebuild body tissues, increases energy and strength, decreases risk of infection, and improves quality of life.

Are You Suffering

October 13, 2017 by Phil Carson Leave a Comment

Are you suffering? If you are like some of my clients, you’ve suffered from “it happened when . . .” syndrome. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and this month I am talking about cancers and how they are destroying people’s lives in a lot of different ways every day. My own mother in law just recently passed away from brain cancer, and my wife Kim and her sibling were the primary caregivers of their mother. As Kim took care of her mom and her own family, she knew that she needed to be extra careful with herself due to the extra stress in her life. You can hear more of her story in The Feeling Good Podcast episode 85.

People can often trace their poor health back to traumatic or stressful events in their life. This is known as “it happened when . . .” syndrome. Are you suffering? Let me help! Many people go through traumatic experiences and hold their feelings inside and do not talk about it with others. Open communication is important when going through a difficult trial. I suggest talking about what is going on rather than holding it inside. When you hold things inside, it binds it up, and that binding can make you sick. Talking about it gives you freedom!

You might be thinking I don’t need to talk about my problems, symptoms or condition. I can deal with it on my own. Let me ask you a question? How is it working for you so far? Or maybe you are concerned that you can’t afford to work with me, but can you afford to suffer through life because you didn’t ask for help? I offer a FREE non-committal fifteen minute session to any prospective client to determine if there is a good fit for working together, so there’s no reason to suffer without seeking help.

Schedule a call with me today for a health consultation and find the right coaching package to get you feeling good again! You can choose to have your session in person, over the phone or with video conference software.

How to Naturally Cure Depression

September 14, 2017 by Phil Carson Leave a Comment

How to Naturally Cure Depression

Whether you have been clinically diagnosed with depression, or you simply feel unhappy with yourself or your situation in life, there is a way to overcome your perpetual feelings of discontent. I have dealt with some of these feelings myself, and I put a lot of time into building a method for helping people get rid of their anxiety, stress, and mental anguish. I call it The Seven Keys to Living Happy, Healthy, and Whole.

If you follow the seven keys, you can:

  • Increase your happiness
  • Learn how to get rid of negative emotions
  • Improve your diet
  • Build a regular exercise program that fits your needs and your personality
  • Discover a restorative sleep pattern tailored to your schedule
  • Alleviate pre-existing physical conditions that can contribute to—or stem from—depression

My book How to Live Until You Die outlines each of the seven keys and goes into detail on how to take the proper steps to implement each key into your own life. While each of the keys contributes to overall health and happiness, they also individually promote significant improvement in specific areas. For example: Having the right diet will help greatly in maintaining a healthy weight, but did you know that it can actually boost mental health as well?

Research has proven there is a direct correlation between depression and an unhealthy diet. Do you eat a lot of sweets and other processed foods? That can cause unhappiness. While it may seem like fast food is your only option in the middle of a busy day, it can be a major instigator to feelings of depression, poor eating habits, and obesity. There are plenty of healthier options that take less time to prepare than you think.

Raw fruits and vegetables are a great snack because not only do they require little to no preparation, they are a natural source of vitality. Instead of consuming empty calories which can also act as depressants, consider snacking on raw fruits and vegetables. Some fruits and vegetables even have properties known to boost energy, fight disease, and put you in a good mood. Other foods to consider in your depression-defeating diet are scallops and salmon, which both have been found to improve mood and reduce depression.

In addition to a good diet, having a regular exercise routine will do wonders for your mental health. If you don’t already exercise regularly, finding a good routine can be hard, but it doesn’t have to be. Three tips that I like to give my clients and friends are:

  1. Start with walking
  2. Find something you love
  3. Do more than you did yesterday

Walking is very therapeutic and can help to relieve stress. Finding an exercise that you love can give you great peace and add to the defining characteristics that make you who you are. You can also expand your social interactions by joining a group centered on a certain activity that you enjoy (runners, bikers, swimmers, etc.). One of the best ways to get started with any exercise is to set a goal of doing more than you did yesterday. No one is going to get off the couch after months of not exercising and complete one of the rigorous home-video workouts from the “As Seen on TV” workout plans. Keep it simple. Pick a fun activity that provides exercise, and start slow. Once you’re comfortable with a certain volume, add in personal challenges to push yourself and make it even more fun.

When it is possible, try to get 30 minutes of sunlight each day. Doing so will increase your Vitamin D levels and you will benefit from the fresh air and the feeling of the sun itself. Low Vitamin D can cause memory deficiency, general health risks, and is also linked to depression.

Another thing that can help you overcome heartache, depression, and emotional pain is to acknowledge your spiritual side. I personally read the Bible and spend time in regular
prayer and meditation. Knowing that God is in control, that He loves you, and that He wants to spend time with you can lighten any burden and bring peace and gratitude to your life in unparalleled ways.

Sunny days make you happy, rainy days make you sad, and Xanax makes you feel in-between.
I won’t act like it didn’t make my anxiety better. It did. But it also made me feel sluggish all the dang time. Like, I don’t want to be anxious, but I don’t want to be a zombie either. I’m still on the hunt for a solution to this, but ain’t it.

For more advice on how to overcome depression naturally, get your copy of
How to Live Until You Die today. Each of these topics and more are covered in detail, and each of the seven keys has concrete steps laid out so that you can build your own successful blueprint to living happy, healthy, and whole. Also, please check out my website for free resources to help you live, really live.

Healthy Blessings,

Dr. Phil
