Episode 78: Why Do I Feel So Bad Everytime I Eat This Food?

September 9, 2017 by Phil Carson Leave a Comment

Are you ready to live? Really live that feeling good life you desire to live? Thank you for joining me on this episode of the Feeling Good Podcast, it’s great to be alive. On this feel good day we will talk about food intolerances and how we can know if we should avoid certain foods to optimize our health.

Key Takeaways from This Podcast:

[1:06] Have you ever eaten something and shortly after felt ill?

[2:05] Dr. Phil shares a personal experience of eating a food that was causing him to feel sinus pressure and to feel miserable.

[6:01] Eating certain foods can cause reactions which might be a severe reaction or a food intolerance.

[7:16] People do not need to live with food intolerances.

[7:35] People will often treat the symptoms to a food intolerance rather than avoiding the food itself. If food is bothering you, then stop eating it.

[9:56] You can be tested for food allergies.

[10:29] Some foods contain toxic substances. Go to carsonnatural.com/resources for an infographic of the seven main toxins and check out Dr. Phil’s book, How to Live Until You Die, for more information.

[12:43] One of the best things you can do to help yourself avoid food intolerances is to keep a strong immune system. You are less likely to have problems when your immune system is healthy.

[13:32] Dr. Phil recommends taking probiotics to help your immune system healthy.

[14:07] Check out the Immune Defense Summit to learn some new ideas to help you and your family have healthy immune systems.

[14:49] This episode’s Feeling Good Superhero is Marlena. Marlena told me her son, who plays baseball, was feeling lethargic, getting headaches, and not feeling well at his games and was not feeling well enough to play. I asked her a lot of questions and we determined he was drinking a lot of Gatorade. I suggested they eliminate the Gatorade and replace it with water or a homemade electrolyte drink. After he stopped drinking the Gatorade his symptoms were gone. The blue dye in the Gatorade was causing his health problems. The artificial dyes found in food and drinks can cause problems.

[18:10] The greatest joys in life come not from you being lifted by others, but rather by others being lifted by you.
